We had such an amazing experience working with Ute when we remodelled our kitchen at bath. From the initial plan through the build it was an amazing experience. With the initial plan we were able to share our goals and Ute transformed this into a beautiful design that completely re-thought how we use the space. Her knowledge helped guide us for decisions we would not have thought to make in terms of efficient configuration down to the smallest details by truly understanding how we wanted to use the space. Our first experience with Ute took place in 2019. We started with a design to transform a mostly non-functional large back hall to a highly functional full bath and laundry area. The project expanded to include a partial remodel of the kitchen to fix a couple of mistakes we made 12 years earlier, and then also included a partial remodel of another bathroom. The results exceeded our expectations, as we now have a very attractive and functional main floor bath and laundry which will enable us to live on one floor should we chose to do so in the future. When my husband gives a tour of the house, he gushes about "his" bathroom with a large shower, heated floor and timeless finishes that Ute helped us chose. Ute is an creative and efficient designer who listened carefully to our initial input and made revisions based on our feedback. When we wanted to find ways to cut costs, she understood and made good changes. Every step was easy. Also, she recommended the contractor who was excellent. I generally have a pretty good vision of what I want to do, but no clue on how to execute it. For this, I seek partners who I can work with who are creative, proactive, provide exceptional customer service and are just plain nice to work with! For this project, I teamed with Ute for the design of cabinetry for our entire new construction home. We did the entire kitchen and dining in full custom cabinetry, with a very custom wash, and selected a variety of semi custom cabinets for the rest of the house. Ute helped guide our decisions based upon both cost, and ensuring the cabinets had quality construction. I was impressed when, at the on-site measurement, Ute made several recommendations that improved the design overall; it would have been easy to just measure and leave, but when Ute saw the spaces, her creativity took hold and the result was a better design. Because we were working remotely, Ute is to be commended for her clear and responsive communications. We did much of the design over conference calls that were very productive. I also give her high marks for her prompt replies to emails and phone calls. Working with MANY providers in this construction project, that truly stood out!
